BIKE LIFT

For those who have ever rode a bike, everyone knows how it is awfully difficult to pedal uphill. The lactic acid on my leg, especially to those like me not used to it, will just accumulate so fast which will disable me to go any farther. I am just so amaze with the cyclist who can conquer the steepest hills and be called “the eagle of the mountain”. However, it seems that Norwegians don’t want such pain that is why they built this “bicycle lifts”. This is a guided train track railing that you can stick your foot on while you ride your bike that will guide you up a hill. No wonder some Europeans are getting bigger asses these days ;) .

PROPER BIKE LACING

Have you ever rode a bike and almost kissed the pavement because your shoelace got caught by the chain or the crankset? I am sure you that you have such a horror experience and with this you decided to buy a velcro strap cycling shoe. But if you don’t have any budget for a cycling velcro stap shoe then the next best thing is to go barefoot — joke…. instead you should restudy your shoelace. If you think that shoelace should be tied the same forever, you are wrong. You need to restyle your shoelace to the bike lacing technique.

Here’s how to do it:

Lacing Technique:
1. The lace is run straight across the bottom (grey section) and emerges through both bottom eyelets.

2. One end of the lace (yellow end) runs straight up the right side, is fed into and runs straight across the second set of eyelets.

3. Both ends now run straight up the left side, each skipping one eyelet before feeding in two eyelets higher up.

4. Continue running both ends across the shoe, then straight up two eyelets at a time.

5. At the top of the shoe, the laces end up on the same side and the shoelace knot is tied at that point.

Here is a picture to guide you.

SUITCASE BIKE

This bike is totally different from any other folding bikes.  Sun has designed a bike that exactly looks like a suitcase.  The suitcase itself is the bike and totally useless to carry anything.  This looks cool but the design I believe is flawed since anything that is removable (just like the pedal) will eventually get lost making this entire thing useless.  Anyways, it is a nice concept that will set you back US$400.

IPOD BIKE MOUNT

It is definitely not recommended to bike with an iPOD blasting and blocking all the ambient sound around you. Especially so if you are cycling along a main highway.  However, if you are just biking around your village or leisurely in a campus (like UP) then nothing beats having an iPOD to make your ride a lot enjoyable.

Let me guess, you usually put your iPOD inside your shorts pocket or behind on your pocket jersey.  What will then happen when Madonna or Michael Jackson or a song you truly hate hits the next track.  In this occasion you will bear the momentary agony and block the sound as if you are not hearing anything.  What if the next few tracks turn to be lousy as well.  That truly sucks…. How you wish you can control your iPOD…

Your problem is now solved.  Presenting Marware iPOD Bike Mount.  This device fits your 5G iPOD (with video).  Control is within your fingertips and you can exactly see what you are playing.  You can even lower the volume or pump it up.  It is not advisable but you can even view what is being played on screen.

Interested in this?  I have four (4) more units and selling the each kit for Php1,500.  You can PM me at folrana@gmail.com.

Cool isn’t it?   Now you can truly rock and roll.

This is the bike mount.  The likewise serves as the clip to the iPOD case

The iPOD Video is definitely within reach.
